RICS Level 2 Homebuyer Survey
A Level 2 survey is suitable for conventional properties built after 1930 that appear to be in reasonable condition and have not been significantly altered.
This survey provides a clear overview of the property's condition, identifying visible defects, areas requiring maintenance, and potential issues that could affect the property now or in the future. It is designed for homes of traditional construction where major structural concerns are not anticipated.
The report highlights key elements of the property such as the roof, walls, windows, services and internal areas, using the RICS traffic-light condition rating system to make findings easy to understand.
A Level 2 survey helps buyers understand:
- •The overall condition of the property
- •Any defects or maintenance issues
- •Items that may require repair, replacement, or further investigation
The report is supported with extensive photographic evidence to clearly show the areas discussed.
